Earth Tones 912

I have always been intrigued by Gothic culture; from Poe to Shelley. That lead me to create a piece that uses shadowy details, grotesque figures, eerie lighting to evoke a sense of mystery. The clock is ticking above the dark box with images of spooky people, chains and menacing devices lurking within. Add to that an old door number. Seems scary to me.

An old phone box seemed perfect for my gothic inspired piece. I populated the back panel with mysterious images from old world war 1 posters. A wooden clamp holds a forged piece of metal that hangs inside the box. Add a metal door number and rusted out alarm clock and you have my scary box. 15.5Hx8Wx10D
