Sunset at the Point

We all enjoy looking through photos of times spent at some favorite place. One of my favorite places is the Point at Emerald Island, NC. The sunsets there are particularly dramatic and memorable. I wanted to see if I could capture one of those sunsets.

I had been using decoupage in my earlier projects and noticed something interesting. As I worked with paper and Mod Podge glue, the paper started to act almost like paint. I could smear it, smudge it, and reshape the pieces however I wanted. So, I took a photo of a sunset, sketched it on a canvas, and then used those paper bits to create my own version of the sunset. 10Hx8Wx1D
