What Man Has Done

We are witnessing a nightmare. Because of deforestation, pollution, overconsumption, fossil fuels, and habitat destruction, we have reshaped our planet. It is a deadly shape.

I transformed a craft store wood box into a distorted world, reshaping it with corrugated cardboard and paper towels. I covered the surface with scraps from a 1947 Rand McNally atlas, pierced it with numbered nails like lances, scorched areas with a kitchen torch, and set it atop a gold-painted pedestal molded from my fingertips. 7Hx6Wx7D
